Description:

Reconciling Communities through Regeneration (RCTR) is a £988,000 PEACE III funded regional programme, managed and delivered by Groundwork NI. RCTR is funded through the European Union’s PEACE III Programme, Priority 1 Reconciling Communities Theme 1 Building Positive Relations at the Local Level and is in its third year of delivery and due for completion in March 2012.  

RCTR is working in ten communities across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland - Letterkenny, Blacklion, Kiltyclogher, Killowen and the Heights (Coleraine), Springfarm (Antrim), Areema (Dunmurry), Drumellan (Craigavon), Alexandra Park (North Belfast), Doury Road (Ballymena) and Castlederg.  

The programme is designed to enhance the quality of life for people living in these communities through proactive community participation leading to positive relationships, with each community benefiting from a physical regeneration project that is the culmination of local peace and reconciliation work.  

This event will celebrate the achievements of all participant groups engaged in the RCTR programme over the last three years.   

The 10 groups will be invited to attend the celebration event which will provide an opportunity for networking, information and experience sharing.  The event will commence with a series of 10 themed group presentations which will be broken up throughout the afternoon with comfort breaks and photo opportunities.
