Consultation on free food for Europe's poor

The European Commission is inviting charitable bodies, government services and all interested parties to share their opinion on the EU scheme to distribute free food to people in need in the EU.
In 2008, nineteen of the twenty-seven EU Member States are participating in the scheme which has a budget of over € 300 million. The consultation runs until 14 May.
