SEUPB - Details of new calls

Creative Industries Call - closing date 6 August 2010

A call for applications is open under Priority 1; Theme 1 of the INTERREG IVA Programme.

The call is being made under Priority 1: – Co-operation for a more prosperous cross-border region. This priority aims to diversify and develop the economy of the eligible region by encouraging innovation and competitiveness in enterprise and business development.

The sub-theme within Priority 1 under which this call is being made is: Creative Industries.

Definition of Creative Industries for the purpose of this call for applications:

"Those industries and sectors that contribute to the creation, development, distribution and commercialisation of digital content, specifically in the areas of film and broadcast, animation, computer games, music technologies and interactive media".

Applicants are expected to acquaint themselves with the Programme Guidance Notes prior to submitting the application. These Guidance Notes can be found on the SEUPB website by clicking here.

Ineligible Activities

Funding will not be provided for:

  • Private Sector partners -the Lead Partner and project partners must be public sector bodies (or public sector equivalent);
  • Applicants to operate small grants / open calls within the framework of their proposal.

Indicative Funding Amount

It is anticipated that funding for any single operation will not exceed €5 million.

Project Surgery - Monday 2 August 2010

The SEUPB will be hosting a project surgery day on Monday 2 August 2010 for organisations intending to submit an application to the current call for the creative industries, Priority 1, Theme 1 of the INTERREG IVA programme.    

As the call only remains open until Friday 6 August, applications should now be at an advanced stage.  This surgery is not to discuss project ideas or concepts, but is designed for applicants in the final stages of completing an application. 

 
The project surgery will be an hour long session which will provide advice and guidance on the draft application.  It will also be an opportunity for applicants to discuss the proposed aims, objectives, work plan and budget of their project.   The SEUPB will provide information on the level of detailed required for the assessment and approval process and it will outline common weaknesses which applicants should ensure are addressed.   

The advice provided at the project surgery will be impartial to the Joint Technical Secretariat (JTS) and is no way binding on the final outcome of the application.

Closing Date

The call for applications under the Creative Industries sub theme will close at 5.00 pm on Friday 6 August 2010. The closing date will be strictly adhered to. Applications will not be accepted after the published closing date.
