INVESTMENT AREA 2.2:
Innovation Challenge Fund
Prior to the funding call to the new PEACEPLUS Programme opening, the SEUPB is holding a pre-application support workshop under Investment Area (IA) 2.2 Innovation Challenge Fund on 23rd March.
This workshop is now at capacity and the waitlist is oversubscribed. The workshop will be recorded, and the video with the support materials will be made available on our website and social channels within 7 days of the event.
The objective of this IA is to “enhance cross-border research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies in a manner which delivers economic regeneration and transformation.”
It will result in higher levels of demonstrable commercially focused research, development and innovation in the Programme Area, which will deliver new products and or processes and a correlated increase in Programme Area
productivity and export levels
The SEUPB anticipates that a funding call for this Investment Area will open in Summer of 2023. In advance of the funding call, this workshop will provide preliminary guidance to help potential applicants gain programme knowledge, and build a quality application with a strong focus on outcomes that meet programme targets and the overarching aim of Peace and Prosperity.
An indicative budget allocation has been set at €65 million for this Investment Area.
CONCEPT NOTE
A Concept Note, capturing high-level details of a project idea, will be available as a downloadable word document HERE (Chrome does not support this so please try with Edge or Firefox). Any organisation interested in becoming a Lead Partner under Area 2.2 may express their interest by completing and returning this Concept Note. The Concept Note does not form part of the formal application process. Instead, it has been put in place to help guide potential applicants to strengthen their application (should they decide to make one) and to help with a smoother project implementation process in the event of funding being awarded.
