INTERREG VA Evaluation Plan

The Evaluation Plan for INTERREG VA Programme has been drawn up in accordance with Articles 56 and 114 of the Common Provisions Regulation (EU) 1303/2013 and has taken account of the guidance provided by the Commission Services in the 'Guidance Document on Monitoring and Evaluation'.

The Evaluation Plan sets out the proposed methods for effectively assessing how the support provided has contributed to the achievement of the objectives of the Programme, facilitated learning and maximized the impact of proposed investments.

The Evaluation Plan was approved on 1 June 2016 by the Evaluation Steering Group which is a sub-group of the INTERREG VA Programme Monitoring Committee, and approved by the Programme Monitoring Committee on 29 June. The approved Plan was then submitted to the EU Commission on 13 June 2016.

Implementation Evaluation

The Implementation Evaluation is carried out in line with the Evaluation Plan for the Programme. The Evaluation supports the smooth delivery of the Programme by assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation mechanism established for the Programme, including measures to reduce the administrative burden, this is a shared evaluation with the PEACE IV Programme. The Evaluation is longitudinal in nature and will report in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The Executive Summary for each can be accessed below:
