Prior to the funding call opening, the SEUPB held a pre-application support workshop for Investment Area: 3.2 Quality and Impact Body for the PEACEPLUS Youth Programme, as well as a reengagement of the sector. This was specifically targeted at organisations who work with marginalised, disadvantaged, or excluded young people aged 14-24 years, who have deep social and emotional needs and are at risk of becoming involved in anti-social behaviour, violence or paramilitary activity.

The Quality and Impact Body for (IA) 3.2 Youth Programme will perform quality assurance will and be independent from the projects but will work closely with all of them.

The SEUPB anticipates that a funding call for this Investment Area (IA) will open in Summer of 2023. In advance of the funding call, this workshop will help potential applicants gain programme knowledge and provide preliminary guidance to build a quality application with a strong focus on outcomes that meet programme targets and the overarching aim of Peace and Prosperity

Overview of the Quality and Impact Body for Investment Area 3.2

The purpose of this call is to appoint a Quality and Impact Body that will perform a quality assurance and impact support role, with regard to the range of actions to be undertaken by projects tasked with directly working with young people for the primary delivery of the PEACEPLUS Programme. This Body will be independent from the projects but will work closely with all of them.

This event benefited those who previously attended the IA 3.2 pre-application support online workshop in December 2021. The SEUPB provided details of all the updates that had taken place since as well as an overview of the Programme and Investment Area 3.2.

Concept Notes will only be applicable for the Quality and Impact Body, this is not another opportunity for potential delivery projects to submit a proposal under IA 3.2.

Key Objective

The key objective of Investment Area 3.2 is to

“enhance the capacity of children and young people to form positive and effective relationships with others of a different background, develop their confidence and future potential and make a positive contribution to building a cohesive society.”

It will result in “marginalised and disadvantaged young people from across the Programme Area with enhanced capacity to form positive and effective relationships with others from a different background, develop their confidence and future potential, improve their individual life circumstances and make a positive contribution to a more peaceful, prosperous and cohesive society.”

Recording of Workshop

This workshop was spilt into two sessions.

Any organisation interested in becoming a Lead Partner under Investment Area 3.2 Quality & Impact Body may express their interest by completing and returning this Concept Note. The Concept Note does not form part of the formal application process. Instead, it has been put in place to help guide potential applicants to strengthen their application (should they decide to make one) and to help with a smoother project implementation process in the event of funding being awarded.

Submission for 3.2 Concept Notes closed Wednesday 10th May 2023.
