Workshop Registration :Please register your place 3pm on Monday 25th September 2023. We ask that all organisations be considerate and sign up a maximum of 2 employees to attend, this allows other interested parties the opportunity to join the conversation.

Overview of Investmenat Area 5.2

The objective of this IA will “to promote climate change adaptation and sustainable marine and coastal management.’’

It will result in improved knowledge and management of the transboundary marine environment and a programme area which is more resilient and responsive to climate change and threats from human activities.

The SEUPB anticipates that a funding call for this Investment Area will open in late 2023. In advance of the funding call, this workshop will provide preliminary guidance to help potential applicants build their project, programme knowledge, and capacity so that they are best placed to make quality applications, with a strong focus on outcomes that meet programme targets and the overarching aim of Peace and Prosperity.

An indicative budget allocation has been set at €24,786,522 million for this Investment Area.

Adgenda

This workshop will:

  • Explain the requirements of Area 5.2 and some of the details that are likely to be in the call including: types of project activities expected, area of impact, the outputs for the people concerned;
  • Outline the key policy areas of relevance in Ireland and Northern Ireland;
  • Outline the key components of a strong application including EU funding requirements, and project management;
  • Offer a Q&A opportunity for those in attendance;

Concept Note

A Concept Note, capturing high-level details of a project idea, closing date for completed forms is 5pm on October 27th 2023.

Any organisation interested in becoming a Lead Partner under Investment Area 5.2 may express their interest by completing and returning this Concept Note. The Concept Note does not form part of the formal application process. Instead, it has been put in place to help guide potential applicants to strengthen their application (should they decide to make one) and to help with a smoother project implementation process in the event of funding being awarded.

Workshop Recording

The workshop is recorded. The video and the support materials will be made available on our website and social channels within 7 days of the event.
