EU Regions Week 2024
Weaving a Lattice of Peacebuilding in the PEACEPLUS Programme is an event planned as part of the annual European Week of Regions and Cities (or EU Regions Week), with the SEUPB event taking place in the Office of the Northern Ireland Executive in Brussels.
A small number of PEACEPLUS funded projects were invited by SEUPB to take part and discuss their experiences and the impact on the ground of the continued PEACE Programme funding through the PEACEPLUS Programme.
At the event, we will officially launch our new publication of the same name. You can find it here: Weaving a Lattice of Peace: The Impact of PEACE Funding on our Citizens and Communities
EU Regions Week is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy. It has grown to become a neutral platform to discuss common challenges for Europe's regions and cities by bringing together a diverse community of speakers and participants.
Approximately 60 EU dignitaries were expected to attend the SEUPB event, including Ambassadors from the UK and Ireland, Commission staff (REGI), MEPs and other Commission officials.
Given the attraction of the EU Regions Week, we believed it an opportune time to update stakeholders in Brussels of the importance and impact of the PEACEPLUS Programme, for them to meet project participants and hear how they are using the funding to make a real difference among communities.
Also during EU Regions Week, our Chief Executive Gina McIntyre will be hosting an event called PEACEPLUS: Building a more peaceful, prosperous and sustainable future in a post-conflict society.
