Local Authority Action Plans, Building Positive Relations, Shared Spaces and Services Impact Evaluation

Under PEACE IV, specific objectives 2 (Children and Young People – Local Authority Action Plans only), 3 (Shared Spaces and Services) and 4 (Building Positive Relations), €253.3 million was invested in 81 projects to develop and deepen reconciliation; increase tolerance and respect; promote community cohesion and contact; enhance cross-border cooperation; address the legacy of the past; and contribute to attitudinal changes.

RSM Consulting Ltd was commissioned to carry out a longitudinal impact evaluation of specific objectives 2 (Children and Young People – Local Authority Action Plans only), 3 (Shared Spaces and Services) and 4 (Building Positive Relations) to assess the effectiveness and impact of the investment, informing the remainder of the Programme and future programming periods, including PEACEPLUS.

The impact evaluation is longitudinal, reporting Programme impacts in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Reports for 2019 and 2021 are available below. Each impact report contains six case studies, four of which are longitudinal (i.e., initially developed in 2019 and then updated in 2021 and 2022), and two represent ‘snapshots’ of the progress and impact of selected projects at a given point in time.
