Prior to the funding call to the new PEACEPLUS Programme opening, the SEUPB is holding a pre-application support workshop under Investment Area (IA) 5.2 Marine and Coastal Management.
Overview of Investment Area 5.2
The objective of this IA will “to promote climate change adaptation and sustainable marine and coastal management.’’
It will result in improved knowledge and management of the transboundary marine environment and a programme area which is more resilient and responsive to climate change and threats from human activities.
The SEUPB anticipates that a funding call for this Investment Area will open in late 2023. In advance of the funding call, this workshop will provide preliminary guidance to help potential applicants build their project, programme knowledge, and capacity so that they are best placed to make quality applications, with a strong focus on outcomes that meet programme targets and the overarching aim of Peace and Prosperity.
An indicative budget allocation has been set at €24,786,522 million for this Investment Area.
Agenda
This workshop:
- Explained the requirements of Area 5.2 and some of the details that are likely to be in the call including: types of project activities expected, area of impact, the outputs for the people concerned;
- Outlined the key policy areas of relevance in Ireland and Northern Ireland;
- Outlined the key components of a strong application including EU funding requirements, and project management;
